چکیده

The systems with fluidic oscillators are intensively studied nowadays because the oscillatory flow can increase heat and mass transfer decrease energy dissipation. Fluidic produce an active-type mixing enhancement but in a passive manner as they do not require any moving parts. They convert steady pressurized inlet to or pulsatile at outlet without need for external power. In general, there many types of oscillators, categorized by underlying mechanism create output behaviour. oscillator single feedback loop is analysed this paper. A numerical simulation oscillating performed two approaches modelling flow, RANS, LES applied especially. results compared experimental measurement. analysis focused on pressure drop oscillation frequency dependent conditions. spectrum using discrete Fourier transform.

Visualization of Internal Jet Mixing in a Fluidic Oscillator

The fluidic oscillator is a device that generates an oscillating jet when supplied with fluid at pressure. The oscillator has no moving parts – the creation of the unsteady jet is based solely on fluid-dynamic interactions. Fluidic oscillators can operate at frequencies ranging up to 20 kHz, and are useful for flow control applications. The fluidic oscillator evaluated in the current study is c...

Numerical Analysis of Elastomeric Fluidic Microvalves

We present a finite element model of polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) fluidic microvaJves. A valve is fabricated by assembling two patterned layers in a two-channel crossed architecture. The valve closes as a consequence of the motion of the intertayer membrane. The membrane is deformed by the pressure of the actuation fluid, flowing in one of the two channels. By using a soft rubber material model,...

Performance Study of a Fluidic Hammer Controlled by an Output-Fed Bistable Fluidic Oscillator

Using a no-moving-component output-fed bistable fluidic oscillator to control fluid flows into a parallel path has been recognized for a considerable time, but as yet it is not so widely adopted as its obvious benefits would deserve. This may be attributed to the encountered problems associated with its jet behavior, complicated by its loading characteristics. In order to investigate a typical ...
